RUTHMERE - Elkhart, Indiana. An example of Beaux-Arts architecture was erected in 1908 by A.R. Beardsley, one of the original organizers of Miles Laboratories Inc. It opened to the public on September 8, 1973 by Gov. Otis R. Bowen, M.D.
